My short story “Last Train to Jubilee Bay” is now up at Tor.com, accompanied by wonderful cover art by Richard Anderson.

  1. The cover art is indeed wonderful but so is the story that inspired it. I enjoyed it immensely when I read it yesterday and went over it again this morning in writing my review. A question on my mind is whether or not this is the last we’ll see of Lucy and Belle. It is certainly fine if that is the case because I think it works marvelously as its own contained story but I cannot hide the fact that I would be first in line to grab a novel set in this world.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m happy you enjoyed the story. I don’t have any plans right now to write more of this world or characters, but it’s not entirely outside the realm of possibility.

      • Well if you ever do I’d be happy to give it an early read and review. I post on my own site which (despite what comments indicate) has really good traffic and also am a reviewer for SF Signal and am just starting up a weekly short fiction focus over there. Loved this. It hit all the right buttons for me as I have no doubt it will for many other readers. Congratulations!
